While doing research for my current project Future Perfect: Time Capsules in Reagan Country as part of my artist in residence position at CSUF’s Grand Central Art Center in Santa Ana, I am headed across the state of California to visit some archives, meet some people and shoots some images. Along the way I’m gonna do a number of lectures and an exhibition. The trip will include public lectures at College of the Redwoods (Eureka 4/17), Mills College (Oakland 4/24), and a panel discussion at CalArts (4/26 Valencia) as part of the 10th Annual Conference of the International Association for the Study of Environment, Space, and Place. Opening on Saturday May 3rd, an introduction to this research will be presented in installation form as part of a group exhibition at Commonwealth & Council gallery in Los Angeles. The exhibition will be on view through May 24th and will also include the work of Karen Lofgren, Anna Mayer, Christian Mayer, Gala Porras-Kim, and Daniel Small.
